Manzanillo Migrant Mission

Another project brought to the club from Manzanillo, Mexico, by member Karen Schmidt, that Crossroads Rotary regularly participates in is providing food for migrant farm workers. Contributors from around the United States and abroad provide thousands of dollars in donations that purchase bags of food. Each bag of food costs around $18 and will feed a family of four for a week. 

In both 2021 and 2022, we collected roughly $18,000 each year, which equates to enough food to feed a thousand families. Since beginning the project, we’ve provided food for about eight thousand migrant workers and their families.
