Earlier this year, Crossroads ran a fundraiser for Ukrainian women and children refugees. In honor of Ukraine's national flag, we pledged to plant sunflowers for those donations.

Many thanks to the community for supporting this effort. Look how great they look!

At yesterday's work party, Crossroadies installed

At yesterday's work party, Crossroadies installed a roll and a half of tread strips and cleared out a bunch of invasive plants, opening up views and letting some trees breath easier so they can grow and shade the blackberries, preventing their return.

Last night's featured speaker was the new District Governor, Dale Roberts!

As a bonus, Cathy Bisaillon, new president of the Silverdale club also said a few words.

Amy Schmidt introduced us to a new friend (mascot), but what to name him?!

Another great work party at New Beginnings yesterd

Another great work party at New Beginnings yesterday with. Three alumni of the Interact (high school Today club) joined as well, now that school is out. We got so much sorting done for this valuable community resource that provides clothes for foster kids and other needy groups.

Also, we had a bit of fun.

Another great work party at Port Gamble!

Earlier this year, Crossroads and Silverdale Rotary clubs adopted this great section of the park and yesterday we merged forces again, and were also joined by some members of the Kingston club!

We got lots of great work done and significantly improved the usefulness of the park, as well as improving some views and some trail tread.

Partnering with other clubs is such a fantastic way to accomplish more and have that much more fellowship with more like-minded folks!

WINNER! Crossroads held a raffle for this beautiful Ukraine-inspired painting, with all proceeds going to a charity that helps women and children refugees, displaced by the war.

We drew a name and the winner was Brenda Yates of Tizley's!

Crossroads President Geoff Schmidt delivered the painting earlier this week.

There were some great scores, some, ahem, less great scores and lots of fun!
